I haven't done one of these newborn baby dresses in a long time... but i was inspired by this wonderful fabric Rita let me have!

Este quilt vai a caminho para ele, para que eu esteja junto a ele nos momentos mais difíceis...

Spring panel...

A foto podia estar melhor, mas aqui está o meu painel da primavera... porque está frio e assim enquanto trabalho e faço coisas de que gosto, aqueço:)

The photo could be better, but here is my spring panel... because its cold outside and this way, while i make things i love, i warm up;)

Esta semana recebi dois lindos pacotes... um daqui, duma pessoa linda, uma mulher de força que ainda tem tempo para ser generosa...

This week i received two lovely pacages... one from here, this wonderful woman, full of inner strength who still has time to be generous.... and from the other side of the world...

Este outro pacote de surpresas... daqui... Confesso que nunca tinha tido o prazer de desfolhar uma revista japonesa, e é fantástico... Esta tem muitas ideias e todas de um bom gosto indescritível... um destes tecidos já foi usado:) Já vos mostro!

This other pacage of surprises... from here... I confesse i had never seen a Japanese magazine... it's fantastic... full of great ideas with very good taste... One of these fabrics was already used... i will show you:)

Selvedge

Porque será... é cara... demais... ainda assim não lhe consigo resistir! Felizmente raramente aparece no quiosque da esquina.

Why is it i just can't resiste? Its expensive... and i am glad I can't always find it!

In a woven fabric, the selvage (or selvedge) is the uncut edge of the fabric which is on the right- and left-hand edges as it comes out of the loom. As such it is 'finished' and will not fray because the weft threads double back on themselves.
Very often fabric near the selvage is not usable as it may have a different weave pattern, or may lack pile or prints that are present on the rest of the fabric requiring that the selvage fabric be cut off or hidden in a hem.

Thirfting.... and my quilt!

Aqui está o meu quilt em progresso. Decidi pôr de lado o primeiro bocado que fiz para seguir a recomendação da Rita e fazer dum modo mais simples, que também fica bonito. E está mesmo a resultar... cortei todos os quadrados e estão todos no devido lugar. Estou agora a cozê-los...

Ok.... So, this is how my quilt is going... i have decided to leave my first "square" on stand by and try to do my first quilt like Rita recomended... Keep it simple. And guess what? It's working. I have the squares all in place, and am now stitching them together.

Hoje depois de um exame médico decidi ir espreitar a loja vintage e não é que encontrei uma coisa que me faz imenso jeito????

Eu faço dois para trocar com duas de vós... quem quer? Sacos de pano que podemos ter nas nossas malas e usar em vez dos sacos do super mercado... parece pouco, mas se todos fizessem isso, quantos sacos menos andariam por aí?

I will make two to trade with two of you? Who'is in? Fabric bags we can carry in our shoulder bag to use instead of the plastic you get in the supermarket? It seems so little, but imagine how much plastic we could keep away from the planet if everyone would carry his own?

Autumn/Outono...

O Outono dá vontade de tricotar... Autumn makes me feel like knitting...

And it turned out to be a pretty long scarf... hahah e ficou um cachecol bem comprido... hahaha
E lembra aconchego de bebés... (novo pouche) and remindes me of baby cuddling (new pouche)

Also, in autumn i need more calories... so there, 3 cheers for pancakes!
Também no Outono preciso de mais calorias... por isso, 3 vivas para panquecas!
